Shenandoah Valley, Virginia Lodging and Camping
Shenandoah Valley, Virginia
Outdoor fun reaches a peak in June. Water levels on the Shenandoah River are ideal for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing. Outfitters such as Shenandoah River Outfitters,Shenandoah River Adventures, and Massanutten Adventurescan provide everything you need, shuttle you to a dropoff point, and let you float back over a distance of your choosing. If you fish, tie on a small plastic crayfish and smallmouth bass catches will typically number in the dozens. And when was the last time you were on a horse? Star B Stables is one of many operations in the Valley that provide mounts, saddles, patient instruction, and guided rides up secluded mountain trails. Finish off the day with a glass of Virginia wine, kick back in a rustic cabin, and relish the pure joy of a day outside.
Big thanks to the great folks at www.visitshenandoah.org for sharing this information.
